As lazy as this is. This is pretty cool.
sonnysaysSep 11, 2010
My thoughts exactly. I am working on downloading it now. I will let you know how it works.
wjappeSep 12, 2010
Sounds cool, too bad I hardly ever get any calls or texts
thatebayerSep 12, 2010
no one could have guessed that
bossm4nSep 12, 2010
Downloaded the 64 bit version. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, it wouldn't run. Had to install the 32 bit version. Getting a Failed to Bind error on startup.
sonnysaysSep 12, 2010
I had the same issue. Seems you have to have Java 64 bit to run it. Other than that the 32 bit will work fine. I got mine set up running great on Win 7 x64.
jurybenSep 12, 2010
I'm having the same issue. Just using 32 bit.

This is interesting. May be worth a try.

Thank god - glancing down at my phone was getting soooooo inconvenient.
twinklyjesusSep 12, 2010
As inconvenient as walking to a phone wired to the wall used to be? Or, having to use your key to unlock your car door? Surely not as inconvenient as having to get up and walk to the TV to change the channel!
ryebryeSep 12, 2010
This will be great because when I'm using VLC on my phone I'll know when I get calls!

Is there any online casino for Android yet?
pardonatorSep 12, 2010
thought this was great, having phone in pocket not having to get it out to read messages. Until my boss came over and saw a text flash up saying "Watch out chief tosser is behind you" from a colleague :|

Now I want an Android phone.
I used to use Salling Clicker for the Mac when I had an T616 Sony Ericson phone. It was awesome. Bluetooth proximity to wake the comptuer, application control, incoming calls on the screen, and I could place outgoing calls via Apples address book app.
I would love to have it back on this damn iPhone.

Helps a lot at work.
rbndgiSep 12, 2010
i downloaded it. Its pretty good, besides the text and call feature, my phone (NX1) was running out of battery and it notified me.

Is there a some sort of blackberry version of this?
prigSep 12, 2010
Yup, try Blurts. http://www.mlhsoftware.com/Blurts/index.html
Been using it for awhile and works great. BBM's aren't pushed though.
gh02tSep 12, 2010
There's something similar for iPhones, it works with Growl on Mac. Dunno if there is an equivalent for Windows, but you might be able to get it to work with libnotify stuff on Linux, since Growl and libnotify are similar (the same?)
Edit: the app is called Prowl

Leave my desktop ALONE!!!
gvitaSep 12, 2010

cmostSep 12, 2010
This is very cool! I just installed the 64 bit Linux version on my Sabayon KDE 4.5 desktop. Is there any way to get the notifier to use the same translucent notifications that are the default for KDE 4.5?
gregoryfentonSep 12, 2010
Works a treat, I have it running now.
