Notice how brief the guide is. And it is really just an opinionated rant. One with great contradictions.
How dare you deny a publication equal rights!
How dare you sell the following publications!
And the fact of the matter is, when they pulled 1984 from my kindle, my money was simultaneously refunded and I used a fraction of that money to get one of the other 3 available (and cheaper) 1984s in the Amazon store.
Finally, one of the staggering number of publications Amazon makes available, was found to be largely plagiarized. Oooo exciting. Please.

I lost more than 600 mp3 songs when I was transferring to a new computer, while iTunes helped get those lost mp3 songs back, Amazon said I have to pay for it again. Well I will pay for it but definitely not from Amazon MP3.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I think the recent book take down is stupid. If anything the book provided us a view into a troubled mind.

I generally like Amazon but there is one other thing they do that bothers me: They pay content publishers 70% of revenue, except for blog publishers. They are happy to charge kindle customers a monthly fee to subscribe to blog content but they only share 30% of revenue with the bloggers who do all of the daily work.
If people are willing to pay a monthly fee for my content, I feel I should get 70%, just like all of the other publishers who get 70% when people pay for their content.

Wasn't there a controversy of sorts for them selling "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" (which they still do). There's still a disclaimer on the product page about why they're selling this book.
Interesting line in the disclaimer: "As a bookseller, Amazon.com strongly believes that providing open access to written speech, no matter how hateful or ugly, is one of the most important things we do. It's a service that the United States Constitution protects, and one that follows a long tradition of booksellers serving as guardians of free expression in our society."
