I really want one.
christinefifeAug 27, 2010
I want one too. I love my 1st edition Kindle, but now I want this one. Is there a trade-in price?
NickInRLAug 27, 2010
Put my order in for one of these last week can't wait for it to ship. Always wanted one but the price was just too much. Kind of glad I waited though, it sounds like the screen on this one is great.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I wonder how many mash, engadget, wired, arstechnica, and bbc we can get in "Top News" in one day.
badqatAug 27, 2010
Don't forget Leo "I'm a Spambot" Laporte subs.
tiggerethAug 27, 2010
I came here to say that I could see Three Engadget articles on the "Top News". But you beat me to it.
andregriffinAug 27, 2010
Thats just because thats the only s**t people are following. So yeah, maybe the system for how stories get popular kinda sucks, but it's what people are subscribing to.
jadrianAug 27, 2010
Hopefully many because they are better than the usual s**t there.
smurfzAug 27, 2010
We all know you got a new Kindle already Kevin! Bring back the old Digg already!

We know you got a Kindle Kevin. God what a piece of s**t this site has become.
chicagodjAug 27, 2010
I would have reported this one but it wasn't submitted by engadget so I cant.

Wow an Amazon Kindle Review? What's next are they going to put up a review for the Nintendo 64?
Digg has been bastardized to an RSS feed for TechCrunch, Mashable, Wired, Engadget, and a handful of other sites. Disgusting.
vigrocoAug 27, 2010
I have a simple fix for you: Don't follow those publishers.
sixchamberAug 27, 2010
Bro are you retarded? All we have is the "Top News" section. There is absolutely no flow to the "My News" section. It's a bunch of random bulls**t. There is no upcoming section or Rec Engine so you can't even sort what you want to see. All we have is this Top News section to look at which is a giant RSS feed of fail.
acknotswAug 27, 2010
I tried to digg you, but "we were unable to complete the request" and I'm just not in the mood to refresh the page and try again.
oriondrAug 27, 2010
You know this is the 3rd gen kindle and just came out a week or 2 ago, right?
jadrianAug 27, 2010
No dumbass, it's a review of the "amazon kindle", by engadget. Maybe if you weren't so hysterical with the digg changes would have noticed that. Relax.
sek82Aug 27, 2010
Dugg for George R. R. Martin reference !

Hey look, an engadget link... how unexpected with this super new fabulous v4 Digg.
Digg is dead. The last person out the door, please turn off the lights.
cerbero17Aug 27, 2010
report the new bury button..
djdigitalAug 27, 2010
Digg has broken an axle.
We might have to sell some oxen but we'll be back on the trail soon.

Hey guys! Remember when Digg tried to censor the HD-DVD encryption key back in 2007?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AACS_encryption_ke...
Remember how they'd delete stories containing the key and ban people who posted it?
http://www.wired.com/underwire/2007/05/blogger_...
Remember how everybody got so pissed off that the entire front page became full of stories talking about the key and slagging the site?
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/H...
And remember how Kevin Rose finally backed off, publishing a blog post with the AACS key in the title (which became one of the most highly-dugg stories ever), asking for forgiveness and saying things like:
"[A]fter seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, you’ve made it clear. You’d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be."
http://about.digg.com/blog/digg-09-f9-11-02-9d-...
Yeah. The same thing is happening now. While the front page is showing day-old (or older) stories from Engadget and Mashable with 50 or 80 diggs, this 18-hour-old story clearly outlining all the problems with the new site has nearly 900 diggs and isn't popular yet:
http://digg.com/news/technology/dear_kevin_rose_2
This one has nearly 1,300 diggs and is likewise suppressed:
http://digg.com/news/worldnews/rip_digg_com
Why is Digg censoring content once again? Why is the same guy who humbly apologized for trying to silence the community now approving that same censorship once again? Does the community no longer have any say in what appears on the site? What happened?

I love how Amazon and Bezos take open source and manage to totally whoref**k it into something that would make a DRM loving Steve Jobs cream his pants. Way to give back Bezos, way to give back indeed.
