Well to be honest I think Google are not catering to a global market right now with Google Video. Perhaps you are unaware of this but Google video is completely unavailable in China! Anyhow, it doesnt make much sense to cut 1.4 billion people out of the equation, however when you make a deal with China it often kicks you in the ass later. I wonder if youtube.com will now suddenly not be available over here. gah, now where will I get my daily show fix?

that's ridiculous! Most google users would simply click on the Video link instead of searching for it hence screwing up those stats greatly!
