Thanks, but I prefer not to be stalked.
antdudeAug 5, 2010
I am stalking you!

Yeah, that's kind of creepy to have GPS in goods/products you bring home with you. :(
iceman21Aug 5, 2010
Not as creepy as the article makes out, its simply a promotional prize draw with the prize winner getting a visit to his/her house, its not like they are putting gps trackers in every product.

FTA: If the team tracks a consumer to her home but she won't let them in, they can remotely activate a buzzer in the detergent box so that it starts beeping.
That would be freaky. Wonder if anyone will answer the door with a gun in hand? ;-)

I'm going to give one to a girl just so I can stalk her.

There's got to be a "In Soviet Russia" comment somewhere here.

Stalking is hard work, so any automation is appreciated.

Why not? This can't possibly go wrong.

I like this part of the article: "According to Adage, a company called Unilever..."
That almost makes it sound like Unilever is some small fringe company instead of a gigantic parent company for over 400 different brands (everything from Axe to Lipton to Ben & Jerry's)
