pfSense.com even has a Traffic Shaper wizard that's pre-configured to prioritize gaming & voip, and lower priority of P2P, just click Next a few times, it's that easy.

maybe being "a router" isn't the only functionality. my debian based "router" pc may be "bloated", but so what. it's also a webserver, ftp server, etc.. my favorite thing about it is that it's always on and therefore i have a linux box to ssh into from work.
