techcrunch.com— Digg’s latest funding round valued the company at “around $175 million” we’ve heard from a source with knowledge of the deal. The company raised nearly $29 million in the round, which was announced earlier this month. The valuation seems about right for the company, which attracted 15.7 million worldwide visitors in August, up from 10.1 million... — Submitted Sep 27, 2008
Digg worth $175M??? Laughable. Digg is a website used by less than 100 "power users" who define basically all the content. Plus the Digg site is really only of value to people of the following descriptoin: "left wing apple fan boy who believes God is a myth".Digg is hardly worth $25. Digg missed the big $$$ web days, it's not going to get in now. Digg's value is never going to be in $$, it's going to be in the enormous love and devoution these "left wing apple fan boys who beleive God is a myth"'s dedication and support of the website.
I would say to Digg SELL SELL SELL ... the content your members post is deteriorating almost daily and your once legendary tech section has all but lost its relevance! Cash out while you still can ... because lord knows your audience isnt really worth anything near 175 Million!
