Why does it matter, Google OWNS youtube.. if any thing was to happen GOOGLE would intergrate there services in to youtube.. maybe youtube wont have a 10 minute cap any more.

It doesn't. Nielsen-style samples and self-selecting panel ratings are a core of 'old media'+marketing. The long tail doesn't exist in that world.
