iPhoto is very powerful, especially considering that is is a freebie.

It's free with purchase, but you do have to pay a couple bucks to keep current every now and then... I'm using an older version myself, although I'd like the 'Faces' feature.

It comes bundled with a new Mac. Otherwise, not free.

Cool. Got this one on my mac but never really used it. Bookmarked :)

Lots to do with iPhoto...never really delved to much in to it but it picks up the iPhone photos right away!

Great tips.

As someone that's too poor to afford Aperture, this is a really, really welcome guide.

Great article -- I've never been able to maximize iPhoto's use

I have a fairly large library on iphoto over 8GB of stuff I tried using aperture but it was too slow on my macbook.
Right now I'm really liking Adobe's lightroom its fast and really powerful if only i knew to to migrate all my stuff there I'd switch in a second

You seem very timid about using punctuation. I encourage you to use it more.
kahlessrebornJul 30, 2010
iphoto seems pretty fail I'll stick with lightroom

Anyone know an easy way to put an image into an existing event? It's so frustrating. If I drag the image to the event, it just makes a new event. If I try to "merge events" like this article recommends, it merges all events in between them. I really wish I could just drag an image into the event.

use cut and paste

Sweet. Not perfect, but way better than how I have been doing it. Thanks!

Protip: Use Aperture or Lightroom instead.

The term Power and iPhoto should never be used in the same sentence.
