I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. So I ran over and said: "Stop! don't do it!" "Why shouldn't I?" he said. I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!" He said, "Like what?" I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?" He said, "Religious." I said, "Me too! Are you christian or buddhist?" He said, "Christian." I said, "Me too! Are you catholic or protestant?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me too! Are you episcopalian or baptist?" He said, "Baptist!" I said,"Wow! Me too! Are you baptist church of god or baptist church of the lord?" He said, "Baptist church of god!" I said, "Me too! Are you original baptist church of god, or are you reformed baptist church of god?" He said,"Reformed Baptist church of god!" I said, "Me too! Are you reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1879, or reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915?" He said, "Reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915!" I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off. - Emo Phillips
This is a common misconception. The constitution does not seperate church and state in this way. The classical seperation of church and state was mentioned later in a seperate document, and it was to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. So what's so horrible about religion in schools? Rather than shutting down all religion, let's teach religion(s). Otherwise, aren't we violating the very freedom of religion we espouse in the constitution?
Craft fairs aren't necessarily religiously vested functions whereas the Boy Scouts are. No Church or Religious functions should be allowed on public school property. That's it. There really isn't a need for further discussion about this is there?
Why is it ok to have muslim footbaths in a public school (they must wash their feet before "PRAYER", 5x's a day), but it's not ok for a Christian coach and his team to "PRAY" before their game? Is that so hard to SEE the hypocrisy? That's where BLINDNESS comes in....Deaf, Dumb AND Blind!
The Holy Bible has always been known to be The Truth, so much so, it is used to give an oath! So take that Quran s**t back to gutter that wence it came!
I never said that either. In sweden, religion is a major subject in school. Everyone is taught about all major religions, but the school itself stays far and well away from any affiliation with any religion. We do learn about religion, which is probably why so many of us are atheists or agnostics compared to, for example, the US.
Its not a law, it was a quote from Jefferson, AND if you actually read it all you would see it was only to keep the gov out of the church and NOT the other way around. Therefore there was NO violation.READ PEOPLE READ!

@Abaddon: It's not America, and technically it's Catholicism, but let's not forget the Inquisition.

Oh, we don't have to respect the beliefs of others? I'll keep that in mind in the next homosexuality thread.
