can we get a number on how much this lynch mob will cost taxpayers? where's the TeaParty when you need em? c'mon guys!, go yell about this huuuuuuuge waste of money.
While a number of other sites have become more restrictive it has simply moved elsewhere. With the arrival of torrents not needing search engines then the whole act of piracy will be moved underground where it cannot be stopped. All it is doing is driving the development of new methods, which the media industries cannot counter.
You already don't need search engines for torrents. There are standalone programs that search the internet for torrents for you so you don't even need to use a web browser.
Darknet (i2p) The other internet. All encrypted and uses its own system of routers and is completely untraceable since it is not centralized.
There is a program called i2pTracker which allows the downloading of files completely anonymously (torrent, magnet, maggot link). With Bitcoin, purchases can be made that are untraceable too.
Because of all the encryption, there is a speed hit. It also takes a good 24 hours for your computer (router) to learn all the routes but once you have it up, it works great.
Well obviously it didn't work. Megaupload was a cyber locker, not a piracy website! All you did was ruin a lot of businesses ability to handle cyber storage and hopefully got your asses sued.
Don't know why that makes me happy considering I'm helping to pay to fund the money I want you to lose though...
how to respond to this revelation?:
uuuh ... doi?..... duh..... der......dee-dee-deeeeeeee.
what did you think was going to happen? morons.
this is one of the 12 signs that Idiocracy will turn out be a documentary
There cannot be a victory over technology which is used both for better use and notorious use. There are always an increase in the number of people wanting to have something free of cost and this is surely encouraging coming up of sites like megaupload. Still there are countries where there is no ban on piracy. These sharing sites will put up there server there and things will always be as it is. The desire to use piracy is the fuel to allow piracy.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
Kim should prepare for this. Hopefully some sites are affected but not total. Government will have to work hard as well as years to sweep out world's all piracy!Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Yes, yes...grass is green, governments f**k you and shutting down a filesharing site does nothing to stop piracy.

Any who expected it to was a fool. One files dump site is not fueling content piracy.

dandoniaFeb 10, 2012
Now what?

Step two is usually shrouded in mystery, but my advisors assure me it always leads to profit.

Who would have thought the President of Madagascar uses digg.
rockyoumonkeysFeb 10, 2012
It's obvious, the only thing that can stop piracy is to simply stop producing things that can be pirated!
PanjeeFeb 10, 2012
If it is sharing, how can it be piracy?

All it did was shut down our legitimate file sharing until we can find a new home.

This craziness is the height of hypocrisy and panic on one side. . .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsmpdmVd10M
And fear and panic of shutdown on the other . . .

As long as the Internet is around, piracy will be also.

arresting a murderer really doesn't prevent future murders either.
