What the article doesn't make clear is if it includes revenues generated from app sales etc. which judging by the graphs presented in the source data it does.

That doesn't make the profit figures any less true, but you can't compare the two combined revenues of Apples hardware and software with the hardware sales of the other companies. It does show that Apple's model is more profitable but you don't need a graph to know that selling hardware and software is more profitable than hardware alone.

It also does not mention content sales. Overall though it shows that Apple can extract money from its customers, and have them thank them for the privilege.

I am finding it strange at all the people think Apple making money from them is great. I have a feeling though they are not foxconn workers...or the American working class. :)
