If you're looking for isolation, might I recommend the Amazon or Antarctica? I really don't like the idea of giving that crazy regime our tourism dollars.
Euh, you can travel to North Korea. You have to travel as part of a tour and unless you're a journalist or South Korean you're probably getting in. Chinese citizens are even allowed to drive their own car to a region in North Korea to freely wander and take photographs.
Thousand of people go to North Korea every year. There are several travel companies that arrange tours to and in North Korea.

I would love to visit North Korea. Due to it's isolation, it is one of the most interesting places in the world.
