coldfusionjedi.com — The iTunes servers are being loaded with requests for activations. Stores can no longer activate and are sending people home with unactivated iPhones. People were told to activate over iTunes, but can't because of the server load. Sound familiar?

Crap I'm having the same issue. God damn it. Fix this! My phone is dead.

Whatever you do to get past this, DO NOT REPEATEDLY PLUG AND UNPLUG YOUR IPHONE! This puts unnecessary wear and tear on the hardware. JUST KEEP CLICKING BETWEEN YOUR LIBRARY AND THE IPHONE IN THE ITUNES INTERFACE AND HIT "OK" ON ERROR UNTIL THE ERROR DISAPPEARS!This got me past all -4 and -9838 errors (eventually), but now I still have the issue where new iphone apps won't finish loading/running (even after a phone restart) and I can't run my shiny new toys!!

This sucks! My iPhone is my only phone, and it doesn't work. Bravo Apple! How tough would it have been to release the update a day or two BEFORE the release of the 3G to help keep traffic to the servers manageable?
