Not bad, i think that many hours of battery is worth the size. You would only have to use it on long trips etc. where you aren't going to be needing to have portablilty anyway. Nice price too, i've seen wired batteries for >$200, but I think they gave more battery hours.
The main beef I have with ALL of these add-on iPod batteries is that none that I know of actually charge the internal battery. Make a product like that, then you have something. The only reason I would want one of these battery packs is if it could charge my iPod at least 3 times off of it without having to be near a power outlet, then I'd buy one. This is needed inorder to use accessories that use the dock connector.

Wonder why the 42 hour battery is the same price as the 55 hour one -- they're both $84.95. Is one model for the 30GB unit and the other for the 60GB?
