Sorry, but a hierarchical menu is not worthy of a patent. This is no different that the system they use to manage the music or videos on both the iPod and Zune. The only thing different is that it is not in the Music or Videos section of the menu.If Microsoft wants to implement this on the Zune, all they have to do is challenge the patent./Not a Microsoft fanboy//Nor an Apple fanboy///Do love my iPod, though!
This is such a load of bulls**t. So now developers can't put the label "podcasts" on the menus of portable mediea players? ...wait, in fact, developers can't even make podcasts browsable now in their media player menus without paying Apple now. I don't know why all of you idiots are praising Apple for this move; it unfairly cripples any other portable media player coming from different developers for good. Apple isn't paying you to praise them; quit commending them for doing stuff like this.
iTunes needs a more customizable interference for listing podcasts as well. The current system is really annoying to work with when you are subsribed to many feeds.
Like Tivo.. they didn't patent anything and look at what happens to them.If I were them I'll do 30sec skip, Tivo, DVR, PVR and HDD Recorder and Digital Media recorder at same time.

I don't think they've released any. I doubt they will.

Haha, "innovate". Apple adds a MENU to its UI, and it's front page news? No fanboys here, no sir.

That is totally newsworthy.
