Technically, you can already do that with the iphone. All that MMS messages are are specially sent e-mails. If you have an iphone and have a friend w/o an iphone who has MMS capabilities, use your iphone to end a picture via e-mail to their phone address (1234567890@sprintpcs.com, if they have sprint, google around for other providers). Your friend will get it as a picture MMS.
If the image is over 300K, AT&T will charge you $0.50 per image to send. With the 2.0 megapixel cam that you cant scale down, most pictures are over 300K.

looks like you need a .Mac account for it to show. I don't use it so mine has nothing, but my friends has it already.
