appleinsider.com— Analysts at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley say Apple is poised to snap up marketshare from competing smartphone producers, even though some segments, as always, would prove tough to crack.

If you seriously think all the teenagers buy the apple products because they are feature packed (which for the most part they are not) then you are just an idiotic fanboy. Also since you mentioned that you are sooo sure that the iPhone is going to sell it just strengthens my image."--------You're a ****. You should check what ALL the analysts are saying then. Or are they all fanboys in your sad little world, where the raw number of features somehow always trumps a well-designed product? Fortunately consumers are smarter than you are, QED.
What I do not understand is why everyone thinks that the iPhone will dominate like the iPod does? One billion mobile phones are sold each year. If Apple sells 1 Million iPhone they will have 1% of the market. The Zune is doing better in the MP3 market than the iPhone will do in the mobile market. The iPhone will be successful but NOT a market leader.
That does not make sense - if the iPhone is going to be so successful, why the need for the subsidy? Why the need for discounted monthly plans? Come on the iPhone is supposed to be next hottest thing - companies don't subsidize or discount hot items. Something is not adding up here ;)
"What I do not understand is why everyone thinks that the iPhone will dominate like the iPod does?"Just because you and alot of other people don't get it doesn't mean it isn't true. The iPhone has already turned out to be one of the most spectacular product introductions in history and it isn't even for sale yet! Doesn't that tell you ANYTHING?
