computerworld.com— Owners of Apple's new iPhone 3GS love the device, but more than half of them hate AT&T, the smartphone's exclusive mobile carrier in the U.S., according to a just-released survey.

Ehh. I hate Rogers but my iPhone experience has been top of the line. Above pretty good reception and average speeds for the 3G, I jumped onto a deal for $30 a month data for 6 GB. It was limited time but now for the next 2 and a half years of my contract I'll be getting 6 GB for $30 when before I was paying $25 for 500 MB.I had terrible experiences with Rogers with former Motorola phones. But the alternative is Bell (which doesn't carry the iPhone, but the s**tty Storm), and I will never deal with Bell in my life if I get the choice.
Dugg for the f**king truth.I had a samsung omnia that had its own GPS software. Verizon locked it. Every single feature that you take for granted has some bulls**t additional charge.Don't forget that disgusting red skin they cripple every OS with.
People don't sign a contract with Apple or have to pay a monthly bill to them... this should be obvious.Ask Blackberry Storm customers how much they love Verizon (or the Storm, for that matter).
As others have mentioned, your experience with a cell phone provider has a lot to do with where you live and other factors. There's no blanket statement you can make such as "AT&T sucks and Verizon is the way to go."A few years back I used to work for the company that did advertisements for sprint and some people therefore had free cell phone service. My boss was one of them. Between the dropped calls and text messages that would get to him hours (no exaggeration) after he sent them, he stopped using it and instead paid to use AT&T.I still remember one time getting to work late and asking him if he got my text. As I said the words, he cell phone started chiming...45 minutes after I sent the message!
@blackinthmiddleI've got quite a few friends that use smart phones in the midwest and honestly most of the iphone users don't complain either, I think it's mostly just a prob with the west coast infrastructure being overloaded because indy and chicago doesn't seem to have issues, at least none that anyone is speaking to me about.I honestly do appreciate your input though, I'm just relaying my experience which is my friend with his iphone can't get signal and my sony ericson works fine *shrug*
