this makes no sense whatsoever... I would love to hear the sales pitch, then kick the idiot who bought it right in the nuts - why dont they go ahead and add another high-def disk to the mix while they're at it?

I suppose Apple wanted to add another video size to every major video program in the world. Just like with the iPod video.
