> "Hopefully apple will continue to produce incremental updates"Yeah... at this rate it looks like there will be a new iPhone every summer.
@gcnaddict RE: "There's no time for a fancy transition between the two. It just goes right to the other. Hence my point"Ok, I see your point... and the home "zoom" effect that you mention as a "burden of sfx plaguing speed of use." occurs in less time than it takes me to have taken my finger off the home button and to then touch-select an app.I can't really see how this in any way is something that is considered "plaguing" speed of use.
@ 1longtime - Funny, that's exactly why I dumped my iPhone - I couldn't stand the virtual keyboard. My thumbs were all over the place. I tried a Storm the day it came out, and immediately noticed a difference. Same basic principle, different execution. There was no comparison for me.While the iPhone is definitely more streamlined, and has had time to get more of the kinks worked out, I'm glad I switched. To me, the Storm wasn't just a fun 'gadget', it was finally a mobile office that I could use with a decent-sized keyboard in landscapethat wouldn't trip me up, and a Qwerty keyboard for one-handed use in portrait mode. Removable memory, swappable batteries. What more could I want?Oh yeah... Now if it only had Wi-Fi.... Ah, oh well...
Where do people hear this s**t? My iPhone and data plan is the least expensive of any phone I have ever owned (and that's alot) AND it gets by FAR the most use of any phone I've ever owned also. Give me a break with this whiney (it's too exthpensif!!) crap. It's a fantastic value.
@silent128 RE: " If your going to make a "open platform" and allow users to create software for the system and then force them to sell and use your crappy store... "You idiot, when and WHERE did Apple EVER state that the iPhone was an "open" platform ?
