I would say No. There are also the spots for the headphone, Docking Port, It doesn't take much for water to get in. That being said it is probably water resistant to an extent where if it is heavy rain or even walk in the the shower and perhaps a quick drop in the tub. But not sticking in a bucket of water until bubbles start coming out. I wouldn't have it go threw the wash as the hot water and the spots will probable break the electronics and the glass. If waterproof was a feature Steve Jobs would have said so.
