macblogz.com — Chris Nikkel has spent nearly half a million dollars on marketing and developing his iPhone App, Newber. The application is aimed at allowing users to seamlessly redirect incoming calls to any surrounding phones. 75 days into his App Store submission waiting period, he has yet to hear a word from Apple.

Clearly he didn't spend enough of that 500k on marketing cause this is the first I've heard of him.

Apple's gonna have to get their act together and stop playing favorites if they want to stay on top of Android.

This app shows a lot of promise, and certainly is a welcome sight with GrandCentral hiding in the dark for so long. These are real business problems that us busy mobile users face. It's discouraging that Apple is treating developers this way. I'm tired of games, calculators, and voice recorders. If apps like this can't make it onto the device, it's never going to be a business-ready smartphone.

$500k is a TON of money, yes. But it’s not that much when dealing with big telecom and monthly rates like this. It’s the age old mantra (charge a ton of people, a little bit of money each month), then you’re rich.

www.newber.com has some great demos... just the fact I could leave work for home and transfer the landline to my iPhone on my way out the door to my car is worth the price of admission. Can't wait for more competition to Apple's iPhone with android.
