im rather dissapointed about lack of gps, mms, and IM chat on such an expensive phone. I think im going to wait for the 2nd version of this which will hopefully come with 3g as well.

This is shocking news to me. I can't believe they would leave out IM support. For people my age, IM is our main communication medium. I can't imagine buying any phone that didn't support IM or at least included the ability to load third party applications. I guess I'll be sticking with my BlackBerry instead. Hopefully Nextel picks up the new 8xxx series soon. I'm really concerned how badly Apple dropped the ball here.

@spamcrusher" LOL @ the fanboys over at macrumors.com. Basically, we just saw a list of a bunch of features the iPhone can not do that my $100 phone does. On top of that, nobody has really seen anything new or cutting edge. They are still drooling over this piece of crap. "blah blah - iphone won't do this ... won't do that - blah blah ...... i think you missed the whole point of what the iphone WILL do : 1. the iphone WILL run on an OS that doesn't crash, freeze, or reboot every few hours.... THAT ( for me ) is the ONLY thing that I will GLADLY switch over to the iphone ( from my current windows POS " smart " phone ).@jwdav" Feature lists are almost an inverse function of usability. What Apple is *really* good at, is cutting through the crap and making a product both useful and pleasant to use. "I read some time ago that a group of design experts had this to say about why the ipod was so revolutionary and so widely adopted :" it's not about features - it's not about what was put IN ... it's about what was LEFT OUT "

Things like IM and MMS are questionable features? Apple couldn't make those features easy to use? Bulls**t.

it's not that any feature by itself is questionable, it's how the features fit together and how usable they are that makes a product great, not how many (half-baked) features there are.

Composing picture/video messages in Vzwpix is also easy. All you need to do is login to your Vzwpix Place account and go to the Picture and Video Messaging page. On the left side of the page there is a menu, select Send A Message. <a class="user" href="http://www.curveballrecords.com/vzwpix.html">http://www.curveballrecords.com/vzwpix.html</a>
