webmonkey.com — “f**kING NDA” has become a mantra on Twitter. Every time a developer posts about his or her latest run-in with the metaphorical brick wall that is Apple’s NDA, the capitalized expletive is sounded off. “f**kING NDA” has become such a phenomenon, a website has sprung up at f**kingNDA.com to track the twisted tweets.

SDK often contains update-to-date and even information about future products, and NDA is simply here to protect that. While I am not an Apple developers, and is working in one of its competitors' companies, I have to side with Apple on this one. Many people complained that Apple don't provide enough information for future products so developers can prepare for arrival of new device, what if Apple does indeed provide such information in the future about their future products in the SDK so developers can start ahead of time? Also, look at Engadget, Gizmodo or AppleInsider who often report from dissecting different Apple updates about possible future products. Bottom line: Product plans are considered trade secret, as such any mention of product plans should be covered by NDA. SDK often contains information or "hints" on future products so SDK is no exception for NDA.

that's what they said when iPod came out. Oh, sony this or Creative that. No one ever touched the iPod. The same goes here.Listen, Apple is the first out the door with a great touch device and tons of apps that people want with more on the way. They will always maintain the majority as long as they don't do something disastrous. Why do you think all the coders are angry. Because they know this is the platform to be on to make a good living.Android has a long way to go. Google can't even get people to carry their os. As for OpenMoko, that's pretty dismall. I looked into that and they don't have anything. It's all about quantity of apps, not quality of platform. The end user doesn't care. Sorry to say that, but it's the way of the business.

Considering that I will be developing some game apps for the platform it is somewhat annoying to hear the NDA is still in place after the beta period is supposedly ended.... It's just flat counter productive to not allow the development community to talk to one another. It's also just bad business, obviously this continued restriction at this point is the basically the 'pet project' of some Mid-level V.P. who wants someone to notice him, perhaps he no longer likes his office and wants a corner one....

Here's my question: How in the hell does apple know if someone discusses the code over an email system such as their gmail or other non-apple email systems? Sounds like something that can be circumvented by someone with a usable brain.
