ismashphone.com— iPhone is not going to become the way developers create new sites from scratch (yet, anyway). But a lot of iPhone apps can make it easier to fix and manage things on the fly.

Hmm.. all programs that have been out for Windows Mobile for a long time and for free. Of course the biggest issue is if you're a real web designer you're not doing any of this crap on your phone.
I remember one time when I was in Scotland on Halloween. I was just heading into a bar at 1am (5pm back home) and I got a call on my phone that someone uploaded the wrong file and f* the whole site up. I had to run an hour back to the hostel (good luck finding a cab on halloween) for a 10s fix. That night would have been a hell of a lot more fun if I could have fixed this with my phone. Skill as a developer can't protect you from idiot clients or random emergencies.
If you're a blackberry user how do you know "Winmo is junk"? I've had 4 WM phones and runs all kinds of applications on them and I've never had the phone lock when a call or msg comes in. That's just absolutely ridiculous and an outright lie. I use it as my MP3 player too (with the A2DP bluetooth profile that the iCrap lacks) and it pauses the song when a call comes in, the resumes after the call is ended. Sounds to me like you've either never used a WM phone or are just not smart enough to work it.

I'd rather just bring along a laptop or one of those mini-laptops they have out now. I think they call 'em netbooks or whatever.

Or be a freelance/self employed developer and actually be concerned about your clients' sites! :)
