appleinsider.com — Apple's just confirmed iPhone 3.0 firmware is already rumored to add MMS picture messaging and data tethering. Also, Sirius XM has said it plans to give its radio subscribers an iPhone app, and Maine is negotiating a major deal to lease 100,000 MacBooks for its schools.

Yep jailbreaking works wonders for adding copy/paste to safari, mail, SMS...oh wait!

if they're going to preview it, there are developer builds somewhere. I know apple doesn't leak stuff too often but you never know.

Oh wait what? There's an package called hClipboard that adds a copy / paste panel to the international keyboard, so you CAN copy / paste in safari, mail, SMS, need I go on?

(copy and pasted this using my phone from an earlier discussion)^ I have copy and paste (and cut!) and I use it extensively on my phone. Its just stupid not to have. Making excuses that it isn't needed or that Apple is taking care of us by not putting features we don't need is just bunk.I mainly use my smart phone for business, and I need all the features I can have. In an emergency, I've had to make a remote desktop connection to help someone with their PC. You know how stupid it would be if I had to tell them "sorry my phone can't do that, and I don't have my laptop with me, go find someone else" Or I've had to quickly resize a few pictures and touch them up before sending them to a client who needed them quickly (yes I can do photo editing on my phone). I've had to draw a quick sketch and then print it out on the spot, all from my phone. Forgot my laptop? No problem I'll just hook it up to a projector and play the powerpoint presentation I emailed out. Oh and tethering. That's the idea behind a smartphone, it can be useful in any situation once it comes up.Its retarded to have an expensive phone (while its 200 dollars on a plan, the actual cost of the phone without subsidies is closer to 600 dollars) and not have ALL the features that smartphones are capable of today. Especially if it wants to market itself as a smartphone.

Heck yeah. I pay TEN DOLLARS for my internet. Granted its the slower connection, but it updates my weather, gives me my news, sends my emails, and youtube clips take about five seconds to buffer. Incredibly satisfied customer and I laugh at people paying the $70 for something they admit to barely using.

Because we're stupid here. I have no apologies for apple. The iPhone is a seriously underpowered/crippled device. The technology its missing has been out since 2003. So yes, the iPhone is mostly about image, but what annoys me is that fanboys cannot accept this. So they troll every blackberry, android, and winmo news post and start going on and on about the glories of the iPhone. When as a business user I would rather give my employees BB, Android, or WinMo any day over iPhone OS.

Lulz, I've been downloading movies through my tethered iPhone. It's the only thing I have for right now. AT&T can blow me.

i know it's not a stock firmware thing, but my jailbroken iphone has OBEX file transfer over bluetooth, video recording and mms.
