It's not really cost? It IS just down to radios and the fact that they can't have a metal back and get decent reception on the phone, it worked before because the original iPhone had far fewer radios, no GPS, no 3G radio...

I agree. I'm not a fan of the glossy back from an aesthetic standpoint. The original was classier.

I love how yesterday, they were calling it fake, and even had the photo described as "ultra-high quality renderings"...until the guy posted the video, along with the other prototypes he'd designed.
