Will this work on the Touch or is that a separate download (since they want us to pay for it)?

To repeat some other posts for Windows.1. Download iTunes 7.72. Download the 2.0 File3. Hold down Shift key while clicking on Check For Update (NOT Restore).4. Go to the directory where you have saved the file.5. Firefox saves the file where you want it without placing the .zip on the end of the file.6. After the 2.0 is installed, and iPhone reboots, it will reactivate the phone.7. Then restore all of you backed up files.8. Then do a Sync to get all of your Music and Applications, etc. onto the phone.

Isn't Akamai a distributed data streaming company?Apple's worked with them before when they used to stream the Keynotes.

Akamai are a CDN that Apple (and about a bazillion large companies) use. It's a safe link (assuming you trust Apple! )
