It has become quite apparent, without the innovations that Apple has brought to the technology world, we would still be in the stone ages. Could you honestly imagine a world without Apple? Without the iPhone? Without the iPod? Without the Mac? Without Steve Jobs? Wow, I almost shot myself just thinking about it. Frightening!
Is his 15 minutes up yet? I'm a little tired of this gadget wannabe thug milking his exclusive access to a leaked/stolen firmware update.Apple should just release the damn thing to quiet drown out this bottom feeder.Just sayin.
The only way I will be going legit is if Apple has a NES & GameBoy Emulator and some really good competing apps that are already available. Until then, I'm keeping jail broken 1.1.1 :-)
Because it may let us work out an unlock for iPhones with version 4.6 bootloaders... also SpringBoard pagination and Maps.app triangulation is (IMO) awesome.
The new firmware seems mostly fluff, the only cool feature I see in there is the triangulation in google maps, which is cool and all but after so long I'd have expected something a bit more substantial.. I almost suspect these smaller releases are often just to break (err.. fix) hacks and they include tiny features which are meant to be dangling cheese so you go through the upgrade. The one thing I want is MMS, e-mail works ok I guess but unless you're using teleflip then you have to know how to build that e-mail address! it's so much easier to just take a picture and send it to a telephone number.. no need to work out the rest! besides, when I tried using teleflip to send to a friend of mine on verizon, they never would get the messages.. if I put my sim card in another unlocked handset that I have and sent them an MMS message it went through just fine... there are advantages to MMS in that it's very widely supported by other handsets and it's a lot easier to use, just send to a number.. there's no reason it should have been excluded if you ask me. http://www.digg.com/apple/New_version_of_Swirly_MM ... .. this is getting to be a better and better application, it currently supports sending (now even works on tmobile usa) .. and receiving should be working sometime this month! if you've not checked it out, you should at least give it a look.. no I'm not with these guys, and it's not spamming.. I'm just excited about it.

Well... you did use a personal computer tho. Something that without Apple would've probably taken a little bit more time to arrive.
