iphonejtag.blogspot.com — "First of all, HUGE thanks to TA_Mobile and IMTH for getting us the secpack from 1.1.3 Also, thanks to psp_sully for giving me a 1.1.2 OTB phone to play with. Without them there would be no unlock, and no blog post." - Awesome

What does OTB stand for? I'm presuming it means shipping with 1.1.2

Not sure why you are being dugg down. Several admins of hackingt0sh have confirmed it's genuine and they are very particular about these kinds of things so i'm taking them on their word.

Apple could have started their own network, bought massive amounts of minutes from the current carriers, and sell those minutes at a slightly higher price to their customers... just like boost mobile, alltel and cricket for example. The reason why apple is with ATT right now is because ATT knew that the iphone would sell a s**tload. ATT paid apple for this guaranteed surge in business. Apple accepted because they saw this giant check from ATT that was only cashable if they signed an exclusive 2 year contract. This giant check from ATT was evidently more than the amount of money apple would make if they sold the iphone without a contract. End of Story.

zetsurin, how did you get the PAYG SIM working? did the phone just need to be jailbroke/activated first, and do you know if a regular pay monthly O2 SIM would work as well
