LPR, really? on an iPad?the only reason my office has any use for a LPR driver is for printing support from an old VMS mainframe still in use.it's increasingly difficult to find replacement printers/copiers that even offer LPR drivers any more...
@ MikeKM, I can see your points where printing is required, but this one doesn't make sense :" 2. Battery is about to die and you need to finish reading something."If the battery is about to die, you're not going to be able to print more than half a page if you're lucky...
so: word to the wise:If you have REAL work to do; get a real computer (Mac or PC), But don't get an iPad. It's a toy for f**king around on the internet, without watching any flash videos.
precisely why if you walk in to most competitive software engineering university classrooms and the offices of <insert relevant technology company here> you'll find rows and rows of dells. oh wait, no you won't, you'll find macs. cause' their for idiots.
kingfoot,OS X comes with a range of common printer drivers already as part of the installation. One of the ways to gain back HDD space after an installation of OS X is removing a lot of these, and the language packs, and a few other things.I had to install drivers for my HP Photosmart Premium, but I was very pleasantly surprised that every function worked, and worked well - after my experiences with Canon Printers on OS X and Linux I was expecting to do a return trip to the store with the HP.

It's got WiFi, right? There are WiFi printers. Someone should finish the connection. The pun wasn't really intended but it's fitting.
