ipodlinux.org— Through iPod Linux, it is now possible to (slowly at this moment in development) emulate the NES and its ROMS.

...Could someone enlighten me as to why this is a good idea? It's an iPod. It's a music device. It has one "true" button. Even if you can get the clickwheel to emulate up, down, left, and right, you're still s**t out of luck as far as the other 4 buttons go (start, select, a, and b). Not to mention that it would be awkward as hell to have your main function button in the center of your "d-pad". Sorry, but I don't see this having a long lifespan.
A true hacker does not need a reason why. Seriously, some of this is of the Climb Mt. Everest Category of Programming; why do it? To see if it can be done.
The only problem is that at that point, they'll have to start all over. Why can't Apple keep things the same from version to version? I mean, they're releasing a new version every year, so this is just ridiculous.

I always thought the port for the ff/rewind/play/pause could be exploited to make a mini game controller. Same would go for the PSP.

Super Mario 2 is fully playable (some control issues, but it doesn't crash)! See the wiki.
