As far as their cellphone broadband goes (ie on-phone rather than a USB 3g modem for a laptop), it's unlimited bandwidth with a 1Gb per month 'fair use policy'.

The iPhone is just a phone - Google, a company that does not have a sponsorship deal or anything similar with Apple, has no obligation to produce a special version of their software for a single platform.

If it's jailbroken you can get a iphone app to register as something else as it's device string. Haven't used it but ive seen it in the repos.
