Seriously, I think they're hoping that the regulars just wander off and leave them alone. I honestly think that they don't want Digg to be what it was in any way, shape or form, they are gunning for a whole new audience of sheeple. A story gets written on something on pretty much every major tech site. Because you have all of these major sites auto-submitting/insta-FP'ing, not only we NOT choose the best, we also have to see the same BS story 5+ times a day on frontpage.

it's called the "hide" button, and it's a little x that shows up to the right of the story when you hover over it. It's the same damn thing, only it doesn't bury the story for everyone else because who knows if they'll be interested in it even if you aren't.

The interface is awful too! It is way too difficult to keep track of friends' comments and those of your own and see at a glance how well they are doing or how many replies they have.

No, the interface is s**t. Load more? What is this, twitter? Maybe his pages views wouldn't be s**t if he had pages instead of one landing page with scripts to display the rest. Not to mention it crashes every hour and will give stupid errors like "User not found" when following a link to a story.

I found them and redid the same around them to line up & match. It just takes practice, there are guides on the net to make these. Be warned Digg likes to mangle ASCII.

Anyway, back to the actual point of this submission.
I thought the HTML5 video was okay at best. I mean it had some great stuff going on but with regard to it being practical I'm not so sure. It opened about 10 pop-up windows and nearly ground my computer to a halt. It was very intensive....even on Chrome. Firefox was a no no for sure.
The personal touch to it wasn't great. You input your town and wow...it shows a little tiny bit of your town in it that you don't even recognise. What's the point? It could have just been anywhere else.
However, I do see this as something to look out for. With more work, we can have a web free from Flash. Just don't bring back the 90's style pop-ups okay??Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I think it would be best for all of us. If Kevin Rose would just admit Digg v4 is a complete failure. And just roll back to Digg v3. Save Digg before you ruin it for everyone, Kevin. Push your Ego aside and see that Digg v4 is horrible and fails at being social. Everyone still respects you Kevin but you failed. It's time to reboot and go back to the drawing broad and try to come out with a new Digg later.
