linux-mag.com— Interesting article on Colinux, and how it may bridge a gap between windows and linux. Colinux's original web site: http://www.colinux.org/

Gawd_it_HURTS you're my new Hero! Hahahahahaha!Anyway back on topic, this helps those who can't be bothered restarting then switching to linux on dual boot.
I have used CoLinux in my previous job. It actually worked pretty well with a very CPU intensive simulation program. Only caused about a 10% slowdown with respect to running native on Linux. However when I tried it with a different app that used a lot more file system calls it was slow.
"it's like cygwin on crack"I agree, and I like it much better than Cygwin. One reason is that cygwin still compiles stuff into windows executables, which gives it certain limitations that are just a part of Windows. coLinux doesn't suffer from these same limitations.
An update to my coLinux as an iTunes server stories: I have successfully found a way to setup a Windows box with coLinux as an iTunes server, using Rendezvous/Bonjour and all that goodness. I'll post a how-to soon, because there are a few caveats. However, it did cause me far less trouble than trying to do it with Cygwin.
a friend of mine uses colinux and loves it. ive only used cygwin and unix4dos to get some functionality going there.looking forward to your howto cooldude.
