engadget.com — Apparently you'll finally be able to put your WiFi to good use by using open WiFi hotspots and Microsoft points for downloading tracks. (Sorry, no word about subscriptions, syncing, and the like.) Also up to bat in the near future, further confirmation that we can expect Zune v2 and a flash Zune in the next month or so.

If iPod owners get the touch screen they've been begging for it will be bad enough, if he "one more thing..."'s a Wi-Fi feature MS is screwed. Although I question the usefulness of WIFI. There don't seem to be many access points that give you free, unrestriced access.

Well, you figure a PSP with a 1GB memory card costs around $200. At that price, you can find a 30GB iPod or Zune online on sale, also being smaller, with dedicated software, and a much larger hard drive. So unless you get a PSP for games as well, it's an almost useless MP3 player.

I can see the WiFi downloading being pretty popular in areas like college campuses where the whole campus is blanketed in wireless.

i was thinking....what will this do to the battery? the battery life is slightly longer then an ipod video.....watching a whole movie leaves the battery level really low....then now connecting through WiFi to download stuff?hmmmm

someone needs to hack the firmware to download from p2p, bittorrent sites via wifi.. microsoft would sell tons more of them and snap a wet towel at Sandisk's ass for doing it wrong!
