iPods last forever - Ive owned 4 and the first 3 are still working in the hands of others.I did have to replace the iPod I had just before I bought my phone, but Apple replaced it on the spot. In fact, they just replaced my 6 month old headphones I bought at their store.Try getting that kind of service from Microsoft. Not going to happen.
HEY! I own an Xbox 360, and they were GREAT about replacing mine (went RROD)....Vista sucked and still does, and they wont even replace my scratched original disk (f**kERS!) and Zunes, well lets be serious... Zunes? Squirting? Really?
Stuff failed on Y2k. Some failures just weren't reported and otheres were ignored. Microsoft announced in advance that FoxPro that came out the year before was not Y2K compliant. It was known that a user base already existed that was depending on the FoxPro 99 application.Because I guess in 1998 Microsoft totally didn't know that 2000 was going to happen.Just like in 2008, yes a year divisible by 4, Microsoft totally did not realize was a leap year and thus had 366 days instead of 365.You would think there developers would know about the Julian calendar since that is what we've all been using here in the western world for half a decade, longer than the United States has existed.

@Slacker1031: Why do you think Apple wouldn't make an effort to fix a problem they created? They aren't perfect, but they often do so.
