framework.zend.com — Quote from original site:"We are glad to finally unveil the Zend Framework project. We have worked hard in the past few months with our partners and the community to get to this stage. We believe the Zend Framework can already be of great use to PHP developers, although we still have a lot of work ahead of us."

Check out <a class="user" href="http://www.codeigniter.com/">http://www.codeigniter.com/</a> which was released a few days ago. Another RoR inspired framework from the makers of ExpressionEngine - <a class="user" href="http://www.pmachine.com/ee/">http://www.pmachine.com/ee/</a> . This looks much easier to use than symfony / CakePHP. Looks very promising indeed.

I'm not impressed with any of them. No PHP framework will beat RoR because PHP does not have the flexibility of Ruby. That said, I played with Code Igniter. Unlike the rest, this one seems to be the cleanest and the easiest to use. However, unlike RoR, it requires a lot of configuration and manual labour.

Doesn't Pair support PHP5 already? (through CGI I think).

Decided to look at it one more time. STILL no name spaces.

I agree. I personally prefer CakePHP to Zend by far.

And you won't ever find any, as PHP has no support for them.
