pooling is one of the cool features of zfs. When you run out of space, "zfs attach " and your pool instantly gets bigger. If it can, zfs will even optimize block placement so that your pool runs as fast as it possibly can

I actually shouted 'Woohooo!!' when I found out about this - am I totally lost beyond redemption from geekness now or what?Anyway it's great news. HFS+ is creaking under the load, it's old, slow, craps out too much and the Journalling support is a bloody mess. I get better performance, robustness and stability out of NTFS on XP...

oh, one of the top secret apps will be the ability to install and run win32 apps without needing any windows license. Think wine on steroids + infinity + 1, this has been in dev for over 6yrs
