snowulf.com — American Express .com limits you to an 8 character, alphanumeric case insensitive password. Thats it. No symbols, nothing longer than 8 characters. I willing to bet that most of Digg has a username that wouldn't pass for a password on Am Ex's site.

my passwords normally aren't more than 8 characters, but always contain letters, numbers and/or special characters whenever passable. I also change them every few weeks. I find that using "l337 speak" tends to generate some pretty strong passwords. For instance, "bmarc" would be "6^^4R http://www.google.com/intl/xx-hacker/

D'oh, that makes more sense now.Just signed up for a Chase bank account today and was pretty pissed at them. I have to have a number in my username to make it more secure. But I can't have "special" characters like underscores in either my username or password. Also the PIN I originally selected "looks like a year". Obviously I'm not going to say the whole PIN here, but I really doubt any thieves would rely on important historical events of the 11th century when trying to guess my PIN.....

I find that looking for sites with breakdowns of payment methods and how they work invaluable, for example http://www.papicasino.com lists popular options for me here in Spain, how they work and any fees involved.
