fastcompany.com — "Undaunted, we assembled a panel of 30 respected game theorists around the world, and we sent them a survey asking, "Can you think of any examples of real, live companies that have consciously applied game-theoretical concepts to a real business problem?" The response was . . . a deafening chorus of head scratching."

Poker theorists and poker simulation games use plenty of game theory. For example, I know that a particular poker simulation game, Poker Academy, uses Nash Equilibrium theory for one of its heads-up (one-on-one) bots. In addition, I'm pretty sure that other traditional games are researched by game theorists on a typical basis as well.

All businesses use game theory ...The question should be: which businesses use it well? All companies are trying to guess what their competition is, and that is the essence of game theory -- how you react to imperfect information about your competition.

Could this be any less accurate?Hundreds of applications of game theory are used every day, like Black-Schole's options pricing.
