adweek.com — Classic, duh.... Company funded by big player media investors launches, to pay people to watch TV ads online. Surprise: People don't want to watch TV ads, online or off. Company goes belly up. What's the next business idea for these geniuses...VOD via dial-up internet? Bringing back the Betamax?

The vast majority of the content I enjoy on the internet is user generated or published by the author without ads.

Mind-numbing? I watch the ads between shows, but I'm hardly watching. I'm either browsing on my PC, talking to friends, or hell, I'm watching the ads, but I'm not paying attention that much. Just waiting for my show to get back. I mean...they do inform people of sales and products...I honestly don't give a crap as long as it doesn't get too annoying by ingame or product placements.

I was going by what the article said. I thought that that price seemed a bit off, but its been a long time since I've seen a Game-Fly ad.

Thats not my concern, thats their concern. If there was no more TV I would find something else to do, then the advertisers would take that over and again I would have to find something new to do. Endless cycle.

Point well made..And just because I'm looking at an ad,does not mean I'm going to buy a product..That is the error in their thinking..They think if they show us an ad again and again it will somehow make us buy the product...Well that's just BS.
