mashable.com — "YouTube and other video-sharing sites may have to be licensed like TV if a European Commission proposal isn?t stopped. Even worse: video bloggers posting clips to their personal sites may have to seek a license to operate a ?television-like service?. The Commission wants video posted on the web to conform to the same standards as television..."

The European Commission just couldn't keep its hands off online video. They want to be the gatekeepers and determine who is a video presenter. Europe is headed back towards the dark ages with all of this regulation.

The FAQ on europa.eu on this directive sees things differently: "non-linear ones (referring to on-demand services, ie. YouTube, video bloggers) would be subject only to a basic set of minimum principles, e.g. to protect minors and prevent incitement to racial hatred".

This is nothing so stop whining, the danish government want to make us pay f**king license fees for owning a PC, console or phone that has a connection to the Internet, and seeing how they usually operate here, we prolly wont get a saying in it. But i wont waist my energy on bitching until they finally enforces that s**t, though i hope they never will those greedy douche-fags.

Another day, another webtickle article on the front page. Go through his sites and see how many of his submissions have made the front page. I hate pathetic gamers.

This can easily be taken care of with a disclaimer: "Due to your geographical location, a dumb law applies to you. Since your "rules" have determined I need a license in order for me to show you a video of my 12 yo neighbour hitting his head while skateboarding blindfolded over the internet and I don't have such license, get lost. You can either change geographic location, or, elect people less dumb in office"

It won't be long before the Ted Kennedy and his pals decide that the can make a tax buck by doing the same here.
