latimes.com— Yosemite National Park looks just as beautiful in the winter as it does any other time of the year. With snowcapped mountains and frosty lakes, this beautiful scene is why we preserve national parks.

One thing I regretted most as a child was never attending the school camping trips to Yosemite. My parents didn't have the money to take me, but thanks for reminding me to put it in a list of things to do while I am still in my mid 20's.
The government and the City of San Francisco already did! Drive to Hetch Hetchy just north of Yosemite and take a look at the O'Shaughnessy Dam. The Poopenaut valley, though smaller, was easily comparable to the Yosemite valley in terms of beauty. Now it lies under 300 feet of water courtesy of Uncle Sam.

Just what we need. More cabins littering our national parks and ruining the natural beauty.

The way the world and life works and has always worked even though some people try to pretend it doesn't?
