I am a parent so with that out of the way, if your kid can hurt themselves with this they are in trouble. There are dozens of toys out there with the same type stretchy material. Parents watch your kids. If they are not old enough to know not to strangle themselves with a long cord, dont give them something long and walk off. Jeez.
