Many people on a message board regarding Borders Books watched several reviews disappear from Yelp one day. Someone posted about them one day (and one was over two months old) and then they vanished a day later...Here's the link to the message board and this exact post. http://community.livejournal.com/iworkatborders/677729.html?thread=16269153#t16269153
wild: i'm not "making my own reality" i'm just going off of what i know. i have seen the review. my friend has told me all about convos between the store owner and yelp after it happened. and as i said, this was a few months ago, a lot could have happened since.if they did take it down, then fine. but it still doesnt change the fact that they said that they wouldnt initially. i was just relaying a story relevant to the article. no need to get all snarky about it.

Yelp removed my negative reivew of the Pasand restaurant owned by Laki Reddy. He's a slumlord who caused the death of teen girls he smuggled into the country to use as sex slaves & to work in his restaurant & apartments. He locked them in an apartment and they died in a fire. He was sent to jail.To me this information is the most important thing to know about a restaurant. I don't care about the food or atmosphere. So I posted a factual review to warn others and provided several sources so that I didn't seem like I was making it up. <a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakireddy_Bali_Reddy">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakireddy_Bali_Reddy</a><a class="user" href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/examiner/archive/2000/03/04/NEWS2896.dtl">http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/ex ...</a><a class="user" href="http://www.oig.dol.gov/public/media/lbreddy.html">http://www.oig.dol.gov/public/media/lbreddy.html</a>Now that I read this I wonder how much Mr. Registered Sex Offender Reddy paid to have it removed.
