unews.utah.edu— The Yellowstone "supervolcano" rose at a record rate since mid-2004, likely because a Los Angeles-sized, pancake-shaped blob of molten rock was injected 6 miles beneath the slumbering giant.

When this supervolcano blows, at least our global warming problem will be solved. Enough mass will be ejected into the atmosphere to cause another ice age.
I think it's scientific fact that we'll have another Ice age in less than 200 years. I think you should dig up a bit of information on earth's cycles before ranting about cliche global warming FUD.
And it's not likely to be just one foot of ash on its own. That much crap in the atmosphere would likely seed small storms, weighing down the ash with it's volume in water.
It's the BLAST zone that is 700 mile radius from Yellowstone. Everything in that zone will DIE They found fossils from the last time it went off THAT WERE BURNT and that was near Omaha. We here in Rapid City have heard there will be 8 ft of ash in Chicago
