macdailynews.com— It is highly disappointing and disillusioning to discover tonight that Yahoo has released a preview of its new, Ajax-enabled home page with support only for Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 1.5.

hmm that seems pretty odd to me. I wonder what percentage of Yahoo! visitors use Safari? It must be too small for them to be considered? What a shame.BTW watch out for pop-ups on the Mac Daily News site, I was blasted with two.
Being that they still offer the old version, it's kinda like a "beta." Maybe Safari support will be in the complete version. This was a similar thing done by GAP in their redesign.
Yahoo have a history of ignoring the Mac platform. They've not released a new version of Yahoo Messenger for Mac for years now. It's a complete Joke. It's been at version 2.5.3 for almost 3 years. The 10's of millions of Mac users out there should just boycott Yahoo and anything to do with them. It's not like they're really needed, or they provide something that you can't get elsewhere. If they disappeared off the web tomorrow, I don't think I'd even notice.

The new yahoo does not work with OS 9 - cannot get latest firefox or IE...so not great news on that front either.
