i sure hope digg's "rate comment" feature works, because i just went through and reported any comment as spam if contained more than 15% of CAPS. most of them were stupid--talking about boycotts and dictators. it seems a lot of digg users want to boycott our dictator--whatever that means. o.0 i'm guessing the kids had too much sugar intake for one day. who knows?by the way, this is how to form a coherent comment--with well-formed sentences and at least close-to-correct punctuation. good spelling helps too. capitalization is only a factor if you're anal.peace
Yahoo did the right thing by end of the day. They gave non-personal search logs to them, which is not way going to affect any individual person. Maybe Google is better than Yahoo in its search but look at its Talk which is no where near yahoo messenger... To say by end of day,, google fell so bad that its share fell from $470/share to $430/share.. hope this explains everything ...
Who freakin cares? What the hell are you guys searching for that you want hidden? You make it sound like this is the first time the Gov't gets information about you...Christ... so they know you like searching for "Jessica Simpson" or "ghandi"... so what?
All your pr0n are belong to us.Seriously, though: Yahoo did not turn over private data - they turned over search statistics. User IDs were not tied to it. So, no, Yahoo did not turn over personally identifiable information about your bizarre "felines-in-rubber-and-ice-cream" fetish to Alberto Gonzales. If you searched about something pertaining to that during an undisclosed period of time, yes, those were given to the administration... but, again, it wasn't personally identifiable.BUT...That does not mean that Yahoo didn't just make it more difficult in the future to not turn over records. Google is making the stance that this is both a privacy matter and a matter of intellectual property ownership for them (they are worried someone might be able to figure out their algorithm from the data requested). But, like defending a patent, this is the sort of thing that a company should take the future into consideration. If a company does not vigorously defend a patent, they stand to lose it. If a search engine doesn't defend its rights to keep its customers' usage data private, then the precedent being set means that there could be a point where personally identifiable information could be revealed. So, no, Yahoo isn't evil because they gave the administration the data. They're insipid, stupid, obviously moronic twits. But that doesn't make them evil.
You Bush haters are Dumbasses Under the Clinton Administration Billy boy and Janet Reno forced all ISP to use their carnivor email spying program and no one gave a rats ass about. it. Clinton was the biggest threat to this country ever. at least President Bush has the balls to stand up to the terrorists Billy also sold military secrets to the Chinese in exchange for dirty campaign money which is illegal. Billy was too busy lying to the country about keeping his dick in his pants and saving his presidency and ket osma bin laden go when he was handed him on a silver platter. He should have acted on the first world trade center van bombing but didnt. He was the worst and most embarrasing President this country has ever had. We will be paying for his mistakes for generations. Thank God for President Bush.
